Community Helpers are people, professionals and technicians that influence the lives of others. They deliver a service that makes our lives easier.

The role they play is important for all of us. To know the way in which community helpers work, and to understand their tasks and duties, will make us help them to do their jobs better.

Task 2: Working an Online Informational Resource about Pre Hispanic Cultures

1. Get together with your UoI Group.
2. Talk to your group members and choose a leader.
3. Share the information about the culture you are working on: Location, cultural aspects, economic activities, etc...
4. Get a picture related to your topic and save it in the group folder.
5. Post your information (text and picture) on the class wall.

1. Keep your identity a secret. (Do not share your personal information)
2. Be extra careful with strangers. (Online).
3. Tell somebody. (If you feel uncomfortable).
4. Protect your password (Never share your password).
5. Be nice. (Show respect to others).

THE SENSE OF TASTE

Sweet, sour, salty, and bitter tastes can actually be sensed by all parts of the tongue. Only the sides of the tongue are more sensitive than the middle overall. With one exception: the back of our tongue is very sensitive to bitter tastes.

The tongue is the soft and movable part in our mouth that is used for tasting and eating food. In human beings is also for speaking. With our tongue we can taste several flavors, and also to feel temperatures as hot, warm and cold.

Did you know that every side of the tongue is to taste a different flavor?

Activity

1. Find your work group and collect the pictures according to the flavor given by the teacher. (first part)
2. Create your own presentation "The Sense of Taste" in Power Point, you must include the pictures about different flavors collected before.
3. Follow the instructions for settings: Quick Text Styles, Inserting Images, Animations, Transitions, etc... for the final presentation.

Digital Citizenship Essencial Agreements

March 9th. - 13th.

DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP ESSENCIAL AGREEMENTS

As second grade TECHNOLOGY users we will be:

RESPONSIBLE

1.   I will use technology at school for schoolwork and learning activities only.

2.   I will only use the learning sites recommended by my teachers and my parents.

3.   I will treat all technology equipment with care.

RESPECTFUL

1.   I will ask for help respectfully when I have a problem using a computer.

2.   I will use my files and folders only, never change any of my friend’s works.

3.   I will follow the instructions and rules given by my teachers when using technology.  

SAFE

1. I will tell my teachers or parents if I feel uncomfortable with anything I find on a computer.

2. I will always SHUT DOWN the classmate correctly when the class finishes.

I understand that if I don’t follow any part of this agreement my technology facilities will be restricted.
